Science

As time goes on, science is becoming more and more important in all areas of society. It has a significant impact on the progress of society, and the more we learn, the more we can improve and shape the future in a positive way. Science is defined as the exploration and practical use of knowledge and comprehension of both the physical and social world using systematic and logical methods that rely on factual data.

STEM Learning
At STEM Learning, our commitment to STEM education is part of everything we do. Whether that’s delivering teacher CPD (continuing professional development) in STEM subjects, bringing STEM role models into schools as part of the STEM Ambassador Programme or providing bespoke, long-term support for groups of schools in collaboration with companies through our ENTHUSE Partnerships, our aim is always the same – to provide a world-leading STEM education for all young people across the UK.

Royal Society of Chemistry
Whether studying the chemistry of life, or developing the advanced science behind modern technology, chemical scientists use their expertise to improve our health, our environment and our daily lives.
We connect scientists with each other and society as a whole, so they can do their best work and make discoveries and innovation happen. We publish new research. We develop, recognise and celebrate professional capabilities. We support teachers to inspire future generations of scientists.

Science Oxford
Science Oxford’s education and engagement programmes have been developed to inspire young people about STEM. We show that science can be cool, can lead to an amazing career and can change lives. Annually we reach over 20,000 pupils in primary and secondary schools, support 250 teachers through CPD training and inspire 10,000 people through our public engagement programme.
We run the Science Oxford Centre in Headington – the UK’s first indoor-outdoor hands-on education centre for early years and primary-aged children.
